Schlingmeier Quarzsand is a mining company specialising in the extraction and processing of high purity silica sands. Its products are used in numerous industrial applications. The main markets for our raw materials are the glass industry, metal foundry and construction chemicals.
A characteristic quality
The special feature of the crystalline quartz sand produced by Schlingmeier is its high whiteness and brilliance. The sand is free of washing residues and organic material. Another important characteristic is the high degree of refractoriness, which makes it valued in thermal processes (sintering point t >1550-1600 °C).
Special products
Extremely pure grades with very low iron and titanium contents are produced by gravimetric and magnetic separation processes. These products meet the requirements for optimal melting of high-quality glass in the production of crystal, lead crystal, optical, technical and special glass and fused silica.
Applications
Schlingmeier products are used in the following applications: construction industry, abrasives, chemical industry, ceramic industry, foundry, electronics, water purification and many others.
