WESTERWALD TRADITION SINCE 1820
The Arno Witgert company has been mining clays since 1820 and is therefore the oldest mining company operating in the Westerwald area of Germany. In recent decades, the trend has been a gradual shift from the production of individual clays to the production of ceramic mixtures.
Witgert supplies around 150,000 tonnes of ceramic raw materials per year to all parts of the world. Of course, the German market is the largest, but exports have nevertheless grown by more than 40 per cent. Although the most important export countries are in Western Europe, an increasing number of customers can be found in Eastern Europe and North Africa, along with the Middle and Far East. Arno Witgert supplies all types of clays, ranging from brick-making to artistic ceramics, from porcelain to garden ceramics.
Arno Witgert has developed its own strategy. This is how we arrive at ideal results that meet specific customer requirements, going far beyond what is usually offered by industry-standard solutions. This is also the reason why Witgert has been a strong and reliable partner for our customers for 200 years!
