Advanced sustainability: underground mining
The project for the industrial reconversion and environmental redevelopment of the Gola della Rossa area – carried out in collaboration with the universities of Trieste, Bologna and Camerino – has led to the transformation from an open-pit to an underground mining site.

An evolved, highly specialised extraction system that leaves the surface ecosystem untouched in favour of the definitive reintegration of the quarry area into its territorial context, mitigating the impact of the most visible areas and creating the best conditions for the settlement of native flora and fauna.
The link with the territory is achieved through the promotion of compatible innovation.
